A warm welcome to our returning dancers and to those beginning their dance journey with us. We hope 2019 will be happy, productive, energetic and successful.

Our new studio is situated at the corner of West Avenue and Pettitt Street, Northfield. This is the home of The Northfield Sea Scouts and we are fortunate to have an air conditioned hall for our classes, ample on site parking and a great area for parents/friends to wait, socialise and enjoy a cuppa.

Thank you to Kate McCormack TCRG for her assistance at our classes.
Because of work commitments Kate is not able to teach in 2019.

We acknowledge that the Kaurna people are the traditional custodians of the land of the Adelaide Plains, and we recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land. © 2017 Adelaide Academy of Irish Dancing and Performing Arts

Do you want to learn to dance?
The Adelaide Academy of Irish Dancing and Performing Arts offers dance classes in Irish Dance and other dance and performing arts disciplines at the highest professional level; and in a safe, friendly, affordable and accessible environment.

The Adelaide Academy of Irish Dancing aims to inspire its Irish dance students to appreciate and love the culture, dance, music, history and legends of Ireland.  We support all students to strive to reach their highest potential, whilst at the same time enjoying dance and having fun.

We are committed to the welfare of each individual and treating our students with respect to encourage their active participation and learning at classes. We are also dedicated to their development and success as dancers; to their achievement of their personal goals; and to their performance and presentation in competition and in the public arena.

The Adelaide Academy of Performing Arts offers dance for children from 3 years, and these dancers are taught jazz, ballet, tap and contemporary.  The classes are offered in a friendly and safe environment, and dancers are taught routines which they perform for parents and guests at the Mid Year Recital, and at the End of Year Annual Christmas Concert when they combine with the Irish Dancers to put on a spectacular and exciting concert.
Advanced classes in jazz and tap are available for senior students.

The Adelaide Academy of Irish Dancing and Performing Arts offers a caring, family-oriented environment for students and their families. Our dancers learn life-long skills:

  • Confidence
  • Presentation and poise
  • Pride in self
  • Good sportsmanship
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Fitness and flexibility
